Another thread brought this to mind. Just a few years ago I had no idea my sister's black epi bags were made by LV. Similarly, the damier line is relatively new and most people who are not into bags have no idea they are LV. So if we see people carrying fakes, we should not assume they are guilty of stealing the design or of copyright infringement or even the quality issue. They may just see a pretty bag and buy it, or be unaware of the negative aspects of buying a knockoff. We are purse addicts and lovers of LV, but not everyone is that into bags or that knowledgable. I know many women who are proud of the fact that they got a "bargain" and didn't pay full price and just have no idea of how true bag lovers feel. Please try to think of this before you look down upon a lady with a fake. They are probably just totally unaware of how seriously we (and the designers) take this.
